New at Censored News: Raising the Banner for the Rights of Mother Earth

Dear readers,
It is an exciting time at Censored News, with Navajo, Yaqui, Mohawk and Shoshone youth and elders preparing to embark on journeys to the Bolivia Climate Conference, ultimately a gathering that will change the world as we know it. Even the atoms of the earth must be celebrating now, knowing that the Defenders of the Earth, the voices for the Rights of Mother Earth, are gathering, preparing to fly in formation as eagles over the southern continent.
Leonard Peltier, in his statement from his prison cell to the Bolivia Climate Conference, says "To live as we were meant to live is our first right. To live free of the fear of forced removal, destroyed homelands, poisoned water, and loss of habitat, food sources, and our overall life way is our righteous demand. We, therefore, continue our struggle to survive in the face of those who deny climate change and refuse to curb corporate powers."
We have also included a video presentation by Northern Cheyenne Henrietta Mann on climate change, sharing a Native understanding of living in harmony with the earth.
Please scroll down and meet the Native American Grassroots Delegates to the World Peoples' Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth. In her statement, Navajo Elouise Brown of (NO) Desert Rock also blasts the proposed disease-producing coal-fired power plant of the Navajo government, which would be the third in this area of Navajoland.
Please join us by listening live at Earthcycles, http://www.earthcycles.net/ and sending us your thoughts. Whether you are in Bolivia in person, or in spirit, the force of unified thought and action can and will permeate the planet.
As the Native American grassroots delegates are now preparing to leave, Mohawk, Navajo and Yaqui, are also seeking emergency donations to cover the cost of their food and transportation to the airport. (Please donate at Censored News PayPal on left.)
