I discovered this great little band from Scotland one night when exploring eMusic.com and they've become my favorite contemporary band.
To me, they epitomize what alternative/indie music is all about -- a sound all their own that is instantly recognizable, bolstered by great lyrics and excellent musicianship.
Saw Camera Obscura last year when they came to a hole-in-the-wall called Berbati's Pan in downtown Portland. Love Tracyanne Campbell's voice and lyrics, though I have to say my sweet bride doesn't share my enthusiasm.
