New collaboration alert! Nine West partnered with British designer Giles Deacon to create a whimsical collection of shoes, bags, and jewelry. "Partnering with a global footwear leader such as Nine West has given me the opportunity to expand my reach in the world of accessories and create a collection that reflects my design personality, while capturing the spirit of the brand," Deacon said in a statement. Each of the pieces incorporates a cartoonish-alien-mouse-like character created by Deacon named Eek, a figure that often appears in his runway collection. "I was able to revisit one of my favorite motifs, Eek, and bring him to life through a completely new medium, which is exciting for me," Deacon said. The collection, ranging from $26 for jewelry to $149 for booties, will be available at the Nine West Facebook Fan Shop and NineWest.com in August. Preview the collection in the gallery.
